oh well, that removes all doubt. I would love to hear the rest of the story and what he really got a ticket for.

Sounds just like those who claim on the CB they got a ticket for 1 mph over.... I've heard that one for years here in Ohio.

We should get an opinion from the "Scalemaster". Scalemaster, got a copy? Besides, if this is true, someone should inform these DOT thieves that oil in the hubs doesn't just evaporate. The only way out is through a bad seal, which should be pretty obvious to anyone on a walk around. In all my years of trucking, I can count on one hand how many times I've added oil to a hub, unless it was leaking, in which case, you'd have to be blind to miss it, or not doing a walk around in the first place.
gpsman Thanks this. -

My friend was pulled over for 66 in a 65 west of Toledo. The cop gave him a Level 3 and marked Speeding as his violation. Was going to write him a ticket. My friend was livid. Cop ended up just writing up a Level 3 without the ticket (apparently used speeding as an easy violation for the Level 3). That was before CSA was changed to not count <5 mph speeding violations.
