I80 Elkhart travel plaza. Been a cool week. Started bad with a trailer needing all new breaks and an annual, but had three deliveries this week that were also pick ups. Made some good miles for a change.
Oh, and got a HUGE surprise with this trailer. 1 its brand spanking new, 2 its a Hyundai HD Composite Feather light, and 3 it pulls like a dream with 43000 lbs. Night and day compared with the mega $£|t trailers I hauled all week. Only one load all week under 40k, was 36k. LOL!!!
Oh well, this trailer makes up for it all
Even has trailer tails, skirts, and stickers all over it reminding drivers of the tail. Hope Roehl trades in for more like this.goblue Thanks this. -

Roeta for the weekend, meteor shower tonight...wear your hard hat.
Dark squall I pulled a Hyundai once and yes they are nice.
Had a new 65xxx trailer with the abs cycle thing they caught at Gary fuel stop. Pulled into trailer shop and they messed with my tractor fuses. Fixed trailer and broke the tractor..lol no start...Gary maintenance is currently batting 0-4 this month with getting something fixed without complications. I really do like the people at Gary but I've lost my confidence there. Marshfield or Appleton..that's the place to go.Dark Squall Thanks this. -
OSU....u still around? Swing by mogadore this weekend. I talked too Irish today and he is moving up to LTl doubles and lots more $$$...I am very happy for him. That leaves me and OSU the last survivors.

I am sitting in the drop yard in OH. Strangely, I was given a van to get me home because flatbed was slow they said. So, I headed back out yesterday, I picked up a van trailer, drop and pick up a loaded one. Made it to the consignee and drop and pick up empty. They tell me they want to get me back to a flatbed as soon as they can. The next load assignment is to pick up a van that in going to NY for delivery. I am to relay it to Gary. There are 9 or 10 loaded flatbeds sitting in the drop yard here and even a couple of empty flatbeds. Go figure... I am still too new to not really care. One thing I have learned is you van haulers have a much easier life!
Dark Squall Thanks this.
