Ever seen a sign saying you can't drive on the median, or you can't park on the sidewalk, or you can't just drive around backwards... ?
Seems unlikely.

If you're not from there they can't do anything screw them don't pay

Just remember, Cali as a state is going BROKE FAST! They are ramping up on parking tickets to generate revenue! Businesses are leaving to other states and the rich hide their money in loopholes and offshore banks!
-
Were you unloading cars? Ive seen car haulers sitting in the median many times unloading cars. (When you say median, Im assuming you mean the center turning lane?)

"A rent-a-cop in a Prius" ? 1. They don't have any authority to cite people. 2. City municipalities don't buy foreign made vehicles. I smell a rat.
-
The parking enforcement in Sacramento County uses a prius with cameras on the roof. And the rent a cop may have been a CSO. Not a sworn officer but a PD employee that does have authority to write parking tickets. Prius(es?) are actually pretty popular as fleet cars in CA. Liberals and all.rockee Thanks this.

Yeah, most "foreign" cars are made in the U.S. now.

It's just a parking ticket so it won't show on your record. If your a company driver you can probably get away with not paying it. As companies pay the tag and reg fees on the truck, witch the ticket will haft to be paid before the truck can get it's tags. That's saying the ticket was wrote out to the truck not you.
If your a company driver I'd let it go, and say nothing about it, unless you get stuck with bill.
After all they are your employer and you got the ticket delivering they're frieght/cars. It's only fair they pay the road cost of doing bussines.
I believe as a company driver, you should'nt haft to bare the expence of doing the job unless it could of been avoided. Say you could of unloaded the cars on the clients property or legally on the side of the road.
Other than that, I'd say the company should pay it, kinda like a toll fee to go over a bridge, but in this case it's only wene you get caught.
If they do make you pay it, I'd have an issue aboout delivering there, If like I said, you could'nt do it legally.
This is somthing that must be made clear with your employer.Last edited: May 23, 2014

It's common practice to unload cars in center lanes like that if there's no other option.
The officer in this case was just being a ####. Parking lots do it in El Paso all the time. Fortunately the EPPD knows they have better things to do than write them tickets. -
My company handles tickets for us like that. We turn in a citation issued in a truck while on duty and they hire a lawyer and try to get it reduced or dismissed. Then they'll take whatever the end result is out of your check.
When i got put OOS in New Mexico, they got a $500 OOS citation down to $100. Fix it ticket, most of that court costs.
