So what your saying is that the home owner is responsible for this actions by 2 knucklehead drivers simply because he lives on the corner??...jeez, no wonder why we're looked at like a bunch of malcontents..48Packard Thanks this.

Maybe the homeowner figured he could sell the joint before it happened again, and invested in rebuilding just for the curb appeal?
Lowa3468 Thanks this. -
Not saying that at all.Saying it happened once happened twice so why keep buying new patio furniture and invesTing time to make his yard look nice only for it to happen again.Im not blaming the home owner at all.He has every right to be angry because the city ignores his request. But after even the first time he should have wised up and keep trying to get action done about closing that neighborhood to trucks.Once something is done then rebuild.

While the accidents aren't the fault of the homeowner, it would certainly seem wise to put up temporary fencing and not rebuild the deck until the city puts up signage. As for my comment about folks rebuilding time and again in a flood plain, well they certainly have the right to do so, but at least build something that can withstand a flood like a house on stilts or something. Ranch style houses generally don't do well in floods.

There's many problems here. And they all fall on the truck driver.
1. Not knowing the correct way to the naval base.
2. Not following directions, if they had them.
3. Not realizing the limitations of their vehicle.
4. Realizing they weren't going to make it, and doing it anyways.
5. Destroying someone else's property because it got in the way of their job...pattyj Thanks this. -
Dont you get it the home owner built on the cities right away, your not allowed to put permanent fixtures on the cities right of way, the minute the home owner does this he will get a fine -
man do you live in a cave? Since when don't we buffer stupid gooberment buffers stupid all the time, seatbelt law, texting phone law, helmet laws, etc...etc.... So how do you figure stupid doesn't get buffered when stupid gets buffered daily?bergy Thanks this.
