I think it varies greatly by state. I did it for about five years in Michigan before the housing market went out. It was a teamster union job and I was making 23 an hour. I live in winter haven fl now and I think they are getting around 14 an hour. Was a good gig while it lasted
I worked around concrete companies in Tennessee for awhile & the ready-mix drivers didn't really do too well, at least by most peoples wants. Sure you can survive on the pay, but your standard of living isn't ever going to be very high. The best money in concrete is driving the dry bulk tankers hauling dry bulk cement and flyash. Pyles in Nashville does that type of concrete work. Not sure which companies do that in Memphis or Jackson area. Go to a local ready-mix company and ask which companies deliver their dry bulk cement & flyash.
