You would think that with that kind of report that they wouldn't have sold hardly any, but they did because they were the only option to get a high horsepower engine in a freightliner at the time, to this dad they still have a strong following. From that article it isn't hard to see how freightliner got the reputation they did.

Too bad that kind of truth in journalism is long gone. Every magazine out there now sucks up in order to get ad revenue.

that is nothing unusual, i dont like this american way of advertising , they try to convince you their competitor is bad instead of show you how good their product is , also i dont like way when they mention name of competition , this kind of advertising is offensive to my mind
on other hand in germany you will find many smaller manufacturers that dont use advertising at all , have worst imaginable websites without any information and if you get in contact with them they wont try to sell you anything , because their customers know why they chose them

highest level of quality , nice finish , very nice products to eye, practical, and lightest in industry , unfortunately price is too high, only two truck bodywork and 2 trailers here -
Freightliner Argosy cabover glider kit with a refurbished EPA02 generation engine. A glider kit consists of a new chassis, complete with driveline and electrical system, thats delivered without an engine and transmission. An older generation EPA02 engine has been installed into the tractor, which falls well short of current emissions standards for heavy-duty diesel engines.
