If you are running the West Coast I can see why you have trouble believing RC's rates because West Coast's rates are usually pretty ordinary for a Van.
This week JJ did his regular RT load early in the week, his next load was a 93 mile load that was on the truck for 5hrs paid $900, the next days load was 106 miles and it paid $750 and I only booked it because it delivered 19 miles from the house and it wasn't a Covenant Expedite load either.
A few F2F drivers read the forum and we all had a laugh that you have such a hard time believing you can negotiate good rates even with TQL and CHR. Guess it helps we live in a good solid freight lane.rollin coal, jjranch, GearWarrant and 1 other person Thank this. -
Are we still on the F2F topic on a SNI and LS thread ?
Kinda off topic -
But none the less the F2F model is similar
jjranch Thanks this. -
May I ask, what positive notes have you added to this thread? Your bitter about Landstar for some reason in which I don't understand yet, and everything you have said is so negative. The OP is just wanting info on the 2 companies, he didn't ask who has the bigger set..... If you search around this site you will find quite a few Landstar BCOs who do very very well yet you don't seem to believe it because you obviously failed to make money at Landstar.
I'm not trying to piss in anyone's Wheaties, but the you have a sour taste for Landstar and it seems for anyone else who is a successful O/O leased on where you don't approve. We get that! So can your negative comments stop? The OP has been respectful to all of this but come on already! Give it up! -
My personal opinion is I would go the landstar route out of the two. I was looking at both of them when I decided to go to GO to F2F I get a higher percentage with lower fixed costs and can run ITS and landstar boards and choose what rate my truck runs for. I usually factor in my dead head in the rate I quote to the brokers. If not for F2F is have goneto landstar.
GearWarrant Thanks this. -
Thanks milskired, I was going to write something similar, but figured I'd be bashed since I am Landstar. No one can bash you, mr union local driver

LOL Your welcome! I was just getting tired of him only insulting people on here instead of adding information to the thread. I have learned a lot and I know who I am going to lease to eventually. Just waiting on my truck! I cant have a bias opinion anyways, (besides the fact I don't drive OTR right now) I am going back to pulling a step or a flat, cant do that at SNI.
I have talked with one person a couple years back down in SC, he was a SNI Choise driver. He loved it! Him and I talked about LS also and he said he was making great money and say no need to change anything once he paid his truck off. So that is all I really know about the SNI choice program, just what he and I talked about.russellkanning and Jar-Head Thank this. -
Nope no bashing at all .. That's what we wanted on this thread opinions so the good and the bad points could be measured out
milskired Thanks this. -
I feel that you have to do what's best for you, if you like dedicated or choose to run spot market it ultimately is your decision but it really helps to be well informed before you pull the trigger and it's threads like this that helped me make mine.
