Day one of the holiday is over.
The weekend crew is now medicating with Johnnie Walker
    preparing for sunday
    But dreading Monday
    13 hours...no lunch, no break...
These are the days I wish I was doing a 34 in some obscure truck stop in the middle of nowhere.
    cheers.

those were the best 34 resets, as I wondered off into the nothingness.... knowing that the weekend crew would not be calling me to repower some load.

And let your trainee eat at the fuel building while you go eat at the restaurant, no doubt.

am currently at a name truck stop but seems more no name....in the middle of almost nowhere, on a load aint no body going to be calling to switch, have almost decided to move to this state just based on the chicken soup at the buffet of the restaurant that has no name. this is some seriously magic chicken soup people. at the pilot somewhere around us58 and i95 in virginia/north carolina.
as medication goes, its no johnny walker, but itll do.

Does Stevens move a lot of freight through Ohio? Would it be hard to get home time living in central Ohio? Thanks......

That would be a yes. I've been thru Ohio multiple times. Now delivering in Ohio is another question lol

We deliver regularly into Columbus, Wellston, Springfield and Toledo.
Yes, we move a lot of trucks thru Ohio. Probably pickup or deliver an average of 25 loads per day in that state.

Now to all of you that have been calling (and not getting thru) to beg, threaten and plead for a repower off that load with too much time.
For those of you in the Northeast that are sitting around waiting until Tuesday for a load...
    The call of the day:
"Do I HAVE to take this preplan. I'd have to drive ALL the way across the country."
(2,259 miles, one drop, picks up after he empties tomorrow morning with his present load that ran from Northern VA to Phoenix.)
There's just no pleasing some people!

    Corporal_Clegg and flue Thank this.

5500 miles in 10 days. Boy am I tired. Glad I've got 2 days off to recuperate.

Ontario, CA to Dallas to Atlanta then empty in Piedmont, SC. Then, picked up chicken (had to wait while they killed them first) in Batesburg, SC and delivered to Seattle. Deadhead home to Portland.
