The apps on the phones aren't elogs, but as long as you can print your log every day they are equivalent to using DDL or Eclipse, basically a computer generated paper log.
As to the recap, not sure which app you're using, but I'd tried one a while back and I seem to remember having to go to the mode where you set up the phone to hand to the cop, so he could see your current status, and the recap was visible there. But I don't even remember which app it was... -

Ah! Then it may well be an elog, and the BB is just the display used by the unit. And hopefully someone who's used one can help you. Another thought... can you go back and look at past days? Be easy enough to go look at the 8th day and see how many hours you worked.tow614 Thanks this.

phone apps are approved by dot. just have to print them out. just like a computer.
the only thing they look at. is the screen for todays log. they look at your paper for the other 7 days,. -
Remember you can recap using the old system to just find your 70 hr mark.
