Walking Floor Pumping Mattresses

Yep that's called a "Tipper" .... Not as versatile as a walking floor.. They are limited to places with only tippers.. Walking floors can go anywhere without the use of a machine to dump the load...

 

It sure does but that's just the way it is... All these trailers that come with new SPIF steer axles have steel rims on rigid axles and aluminum on the lift axles.. Unless of course you pay the extra money for all aluminum rims.. Since I work at the City they don't spend extra money on mostly cosmetic stuff, they don't need the weight savings either.. I don't mind cause I get paid good money so as long as it's safe and works I don't care what it looks like....

I see lots of companies with nice looking trailers and trucks in this field of the industry.. But they get paid less then I do.. I'll take the money it pays my bills, not souped out equipment.. It would be nice if we could be driving around in decked out equipment..


I wish they could have gotten black rims for the lift axle...

 

No I don't haul to the US.. I am strictly within my 160km/100mile radius so no log books... Actually as far as I know most Canadian trash doesn't cross the border into Michigan anymore.. I am pretty sure they closed the border off to trash a few years ago.. I am sure we might still send some but I know as far as Toronto goes our trash doesn't go to MI... Like I said I think MI closed the border off to trash..

Bedbugs are a international problem, not just a Canadian problem... Besides they wouldn't go far if they cross over.. They would just go from truck to landfill then get buried.... I know if our yardwaste is infected with certain species of bugs (like asian long horn beetle etc..) they would cannot be removed from that area unless it's been chipped to a certain size on site in the area of infection..

 

Well all I know is the City Of Toronto doesn't ship it's trash to Michigan... Our contractor (Verspeeteen Cartage) only goes to landfills in Ontario (Ottawa, Throld, London).. I can't speak for private contractors or private dumps I don't know where they are going... I don't go to the Border but I am willing to bet that you don't see as much trucks coming through the border as it used to be a few years ago before the big uproar...

I mean trash is a money maker for sure... This is why these companies in Michigan take it because of money and this is why I am willing to bet Michigan politicians have no rear agenda for stopping it.. Money in the companies pockets, means money in the Governments pockets.. What I find funny is that residents here do not want garbage brought to their areas... While I can sympathize with the reasonings (smell, property value etc..) I have one question for them... Where do you want the garbage to go, cause it's got to go somewhere... We can't just be creators of garbage and then expect it to vanish into thin air... Now I know near where I live in Durham Region they along with York Region have built an incinerator which is soon to be ready... I guess other then dumping in it in the ground, we can burn it and create energy.. There is downfalls to this too but everything we do that revolves around garbage (and this isn't just the case in canada) we are always going to have pros and cons... Let's face it garbage isn't going to just stop being created..

I thought I had is why not take it to Islands that isn't inhabited... so it's off mainlands and isn't affecting anyone.. Sure the cost will be higher, but if people don't want to have the garbage in their backyards then the price you pay is to ship it away from everyone and everything..
