I am Leased to tmt, and if you have a bad score or driving record they will not put you on.
I know nothing of the Van side, I'm in the Heavy Haul side. I pull my flat and when I need it I pull a 3 axle stretch SD that belongs to them.
As far as the rates y'all posted there spot on. For legal loads. But way more for OD.
I run for the agent in Morgan City La. ( Wild Cat Heavy Haul ) I get loads from them or any other agent that has a load I'm interested in or find my own. We do lots of rig moves. When we are moving a rig it's all hands on deck so to speak, all available trucks that want in on it. Home time is what ever you want it to be. But I will admit I have been out as long as a month. But it was my choice, could not turn down the loads I was getting. Did 3 loads to ND back to back @ 22' wide for 21,000 each plus permits an escorts an fuel. Now I'm taking off till after the 1st. -

How difficult is it getting freight out of New England? It's an ongoing problem at another OTR O/O flatbed company located in KY. Just gets worse tho.

Tango motor transport or TMT out of Madisonville Ky. Is a good decent company to work for. It is a sister company of Tango and by NO MEANS IS TIED TO SWIFT IN ANY WAY. It's a company of over 100 trucks that are flats, steps and rgn's. My Hubby has drove for them for almost 4 yrs now. I worked with them as well before getting sick and coming off the road a couple yrs ago. We live in Illinois. He makes good money but like most drivers know to make the big bucks you got to put in the time. They do considerably well with oil rig moves pretty regularly that pay well for the time and distance involved. My husband pulls a step has his hazmat, and twic cards and pulls oversized quite often. He doesn't sit empty for to long, rarely over an afternoon and then that's not to often. When he's running wide open because the money is out there to be made for whoever wants it he will make it home every other weekend but there has been a few times he will stay out three weeks before coming home. Because of my health issues and it being summer he has pretty much been home every weekend for at least a 24 hour period but for the most part a good 48 hrs is the standing operating procedure as of right now. I can tell you he's happy with the people he deals with in the office, he enjoys where he goes. He's not had any real problems while working there. Now for the big question....What kind of money is he making???? He's right at the 200,000. gross mark right now. I hope this helps with what you wanted to know.
