They didn't have ANY loads for you in Houston? They couldn't even deadhead you somewhere? They are begging for Drivers down there and they don't have work for you? I hope you are getting layover pay for this

Firespock, you have to start calling earlier on Friday if you don't have a load. Never wait, if you don't have a weekend load by 10 am on Friday start blowing up phones. You are getting laid over way too much. Don't let this continue.

I also found out about 6 other drivers sat there from Friday till Monday cause that's when they got another load I think it was just the only loads available out of Houston and I sent in my expense for 72 hours of layover since I say for 86 hours and they only paid me for 48

That is why I changed my home time to Sunday-Monday. In the tank world, about 60% of the plants only handle shipping and receiving Monday through Friday daylight hours. Getting loads on holidays can be even more difficult. Plan your trips and home time according as much as you can.
