Stevens Transport Aviary . . cont'

I feel you, My last 10 days... Casa Grande AZ to Fontana CA to Moberly MO, 47 Hrs for a Reset, then Quincy IL to Ft Worth, to Cheyenne, to where I am Parked in Fremont IN, heading to Elizabeth NJ.

5000 miles in this 10 days, with that restart included, and after I drop in NJ on Tuesday AM, I will be down to 4 hrs again for 2 days, so another restart coming up.

 

No restarts on my trip. All on recap hours. Lots of split sleepers.

 

I didn't have a choice unfortunately with 7 hours over two days available,once empty I got a call telling me no dispatch until I had some hours the the restart ended 5 hours after I got some time back anyway.

I am kind of expecting the same situation on Tuesday because I will have only 4 hours left when I'm empty.

 

Good first week...went by fast. Enjoying the hill. Spent yesterday and today memorizing air brakes steps...and practicing with my plunger...

 

Hope that you get one when you're assigned a new truck. If your truck is older write a novel in the driver remarks section of the safety lane paperwork. Pete's are great rides but they really need to step their sleeper game up.

We got our preplan yesterday. Across the country is relative. According to the preplan, Miami to Auburndale, FL to Chester, NY. Its across the country!

 

I did that run... Weston to Auburndale go Chester. If it is two drops innChester you will he sitting as one receives in the morning and he other at night, which was good in may case since they loaded the stops backwards. Hope you have better lick with it than I did.
