I drive about 8 hours to the warehouse in Oregon, then bump the dock and drop her. I then bobtail about a mile to my parking spot and park for 10 hours. I usually get a bite to eat, catch up on paperwork, then crawl into the sleeper.

10hr break...half of it is spent on this computer
-
Well I dont fit in because my 10 hour is more like a 12+ hour break daily. I run dedicated so Im not in a rush...well I am, but that just gets me home sooner.
When I get home, I usually unwind for a bit, then make dinner if its my night...putz on the computer, watch tv and then go to bed around 11pm or so. The guys bringing me my freight call me around 5-6 am and tell me they are an hour out which gives me time to get showered up, breakfast, make a lunch and fill the cooler, head out to the truck and turn er around for the load swap. -
I WAS WONDERING WHO WOULD TELL THE TRUTH THERE

Are you serious or just saying that to get logs BP up.
Now that is an ideal break my friend. Home almost every night with a nice a/c bed to sleep in.

I drive until I'm tired then I sleep until I wake up. After a few days, I make my logs "legal."
-
I run legal nowadays. I park, hit the sack. Then up about an hour and a half before the ten is done. Get showered (if available),shaved, coffee'd up, pre-tripped, catch up the log and move out. I used to be quite the hard charger for a lot of years but I now realize I need proper rest to maintain the edge I had when I was younger...so I take it.

I wish we had A/C. I havent lived in this particular apartment during the summer yet as we just moved here last fall, but it keeps its heat pretty good, lol. Not looking forward to the summer. Feel bad for the cats...they will probably start migrating towarsd the tile floor in the kitchen in a while. Right now at 7:30 is 60 degrees....warmest of the year so far...I feel very active, lol. Makes me wanna do something! too bad I dont have tags for my bike yet. argh.

And if you are driving for my company you will eventually get in T-R-O-U-B-L-E

You better be good! Trust me, you don't want to be in prison like some drivers that I have read about do you? Well then log it legal because them logs/accidents can put you in prison. NO JOKE!
But I did get your humor out of this
