If they didn't work do you really think companies would be putting them on?
The Company claims 6.6% Fuel Savings at 65mph

Yes they work but they are already old technology, there are new products on the market that create the same effect by creating an air jet. The new products are a lot more discrete and don't have to be folded and unfolded all the time.

Absolutely. The easiest way to learn if something works (or not) is to try it. Not every person, nor every company, has the resources to apply theories in wind tunnels, so you put it the new item on a small number of test vehicles to see if the improvement works. Thus, the answer to your question is YES, they do.Last edited by a moderator: May 29, 2014
Balakov100 Thanks this. -
Trailer tail/skirt combos can save around .5 mpg

They work, but they need to be deployed, and has been said, can do damage or be damaged in close maneuvering.
I wouldn't consider them for company drivers on short multiple drop loads, and there are other solutions. same with the side skirts. -
if you get 6mpg, on 2000 miles that is 333 gal x $4 = $1,333 per week
6.5mpg @ 2000mi = 307 gal x $4 = $1,230 per week
so basically, you save about $100 per week, driving an average of 65mph, 52 weeks is about $5200
6.6% x 6 mpg = 6.36mpg or about $97.80/week in savings
how much do they cost,, parts and labor?Last edited by a moderator: May 29, 2014

Most MVT trucks I've seen lately have removed those duu-fuss looking hubcaps they had. (which were suppose to save fuel)
