He called me and we had 3 good long discussions'. He wanted to talk to a Walmart driver with 15 years with the company.. He had his interview today'. I'm waiting for his call to hear how it went..... Have a nice day

 

Yea there is a lot of bs on this thread I was reading where some one didn't get hired because of scratching a gear

 

Why so much negativity about Walmart on here lately? Used to read nothing but good things. Have they started new procedures that are pissing a lot of drivers off or what? Might have to rethink applying..

 

It's Changed.. But if you want home Every week.. And make Great $$$$. It's still best company job out there!

 

WM driving is still a great job. But like many others, it has changed over the years. You hear the most negativity from older drivers who know what it used to be. If you talked to a driver that has been here 5 years, he thinks about the job he had 5 years ago, sees himself better off and will tell you that it is a very good job. If you talk to a driver (like myself) who has been here 20+ years, he also looks at the job that he had 5 years ago and realizes that what he had then was better that what he has now. What he had 10 years ago was better than what he had 5 years ago, etc. So while there is a lot that has changed, drivers who have been here many years have forgotten what it is like to drive in the "real" world. It isn't the job that it used to be, but I would rather be at the top of WM's board than the bottom of anybody else's.

 

Very good written.. It has a turn over now that didn't use to exist. And the drivers leaving aren't going to Other Companies . They're buying their own Trucks and being O/O's that's what I'm seeing

 

Applied @ Wal Mart for the Sealy, Tx. Location. Had phone Interview yesterday & it went well. Told I would be contacted sometime next week to schedule a Road Test, Pre Trip, & Physical. I currently live in Florida & considering relocating to Texas. Best Of Luck to you.
