Thanks. Okay Perhaps an image of a paycheck may help out those who are going to BTC. It is somewhat self-explanatory, but they do a bad job of informing you of how do look at it. It doesn't come with a legend. I guess the expect the trainer or the dryer sock thief to teach you how to decipher it. The main thing is anything paid for by EFS Check or out of your own pocket: keep the receipts. (EFS checks used for expenses for you/your truck are linked to you). Transflo them in on the next load. BTC is really good about reimbursements.
Get an online account for drivers so that you can view your check stub online. Get in touch with the IT dept. You get a paper copy in the mail, but it is nice to be able to get one if you need one online. Plus, you can view it Thursday after 12pm CST so you get a heads up. Remember, they pay all completed loads and any legitimate reimbursements transflo-ed prior to Tues # 2200 CST. You are paid that same Friday. So you are only 3 days behind on a paycheck, which isn't bad at all.
Maybe next posting I'll have a stub with notes. I had a tire earlier this morning that got blown. Didn't even feel it. But I got it fixed no problem.
I should be getting paid for this. I shouldn't be giving this out for free.

How close would I have to live to a freight lane to be considered for employment?
I was told I didnt live close enough (which Im about 50 miles from I-55) because when I called I got the first person that answered the phone and not sure how much faith to put in that.
It was dissappointing to hear that since they were about the only company I came across that did not care about the misdemeanor on my record and I really want to get into flatbedd'n.
There is a person that lives about 25 miles up the road from me and he is no closer to I-55 than what I am (geographically) but Im not sure how long he has worked for them.
Any input would be appreciated. -

hey ybfjax, hope things are still going good for you. I have read all our posts on mav and btc but tell me what happened at tmc. i will be going there after school in about a month and want to know what to look out for. btc was my first choice and mav was my 2nd but not hiring students from where i live ( around beaumont, tx). tmc seems like my best option for flatbed and hometime. heard they are real strict. how many people made it out of orientation and what did they turn others away for? good luck at btc and hope to hear more.
