Found quick fix for leaking freightliner fuel cap ,just go to any auto part house and ask for a chevy 350 rear freeze plug, I believe it measures 1 5/8 or close to it, any how remove fuel cap from tank , then discard chain ,freeze plug will fit perfect on hole . Ive tried it and it works ,Also make sure tank is vented .

good tip, I could never figure out why FL couldn't make a fuel cap that didn't leak. None of the other companies seem to have that problem.

Mine don't leak. In 16 years.

What happens when the freeze plug falls?

C'mon guy's,I'm just trying to be helpful by sharing what I did and not to turn this into a haters post....If you can benefit from this fine if not do like I've done in the past when I disagree with someone and keep bad comments to yourself.....

I dont hate freightliner. Was merely remarking that if you did lose the freeze plug because it is steel, it is magnetic.

Not sure if I will return to the road at this stage in my life. But my preferrence is still a freightliner. Oscar need not have posted, just my 2 pennies.
