You actually made $50,050 last year in mile pay, not including stop pay and other incidentals. But mile pay alone was $50,050. I don't know what you did in stops ($25 per stop) any lumping you did yourself, etc. So you actually came out pretty decently.

Dont matter ALL moneys paid to me have to be on the W-2 form taxed or untaxed. People have such a miconseption about per diem. How they do it here is. 75% of your income is taxed and the untaxed portion is added back in on the bottom of the check stub. If that were the case it is considered unreported income and is punishable by law. Called tax evasion. Income is income. I have had people tell me when working for a company in Yakima Washington that you cannot claim your food Floyd already claims it on his taxes. NOT. You can claim 80% of $59.00 a day. Now may I ask who are you and what makes you such a professional at everthing because I have formed an image of you. A blow hard know it all.

You might want to look around on this site a little and get to know people before you resort to name calling.joseph1135 Thanks this.

Uh, no. I've been here a long time and figured it out. It is all on your w2 you need to learn how to read it. And you're speaking of Floyd Blinsky? Nice trucks, long runs, doesn't pay anything and is in HOS trouble. If you think I'm a blow hard then I'm in truck 1609, silver KW, and tell me that. You won't, I promise. I tried to help you because I've done it for others and you're calling me names? Have fun in your next job.

I hate per diem when they take it at source, not being a tax professional I do not know if they are screwing me or not!! But then that is also partly due to the fact that my wife has a home business and gives us more at Tax time....And also a lot of companies will charge you for doing per diem and some give you no option. No per diem here at Holland.

Encountered a Lessors leaving Columbus, Wisconsin, this week, 4743, not sure but had seen it at the rest area the night before. First blocks me from getting around a slow dump truck although well behind me from #1 lane by starting into #2 lane that I needed and had signaled for, then tailgates a 4-wheeler for about a mile that doesn't budge, so he moves over and tailgates the 4-wheeler in the #1 lane hard on her butt.
Hey, who cares if there's a blitz on, right?? -
You know I apologise. I feel stupid. You are 100% correct after doing the math. Miles mutiplied by .39 muliplied by 75% is exactly what was on my w-2 form. SO I made 50-k plus better then the w-2 reflects. But I did complain a little and was going to quit. But they turned my mind different and I turn 3900 miles in the last 7 days. Not bad for e-log trucking. And after thinking about the lack of miles it really wasnt the office at fault it was the shippers and receivers. I sat in Elizabeth.N.J. for 3 days because of a plant issue. Another time perdue did not make an appointment and I sat in Kississimee,Fl. for 2 days. I have always said it since I started driving. Lose the day lose the week. Lose the week and the month follows. But as long as I keep moving like I have this last week Im a happy camper.
OPUS 7 and joseph1135 Thank this. -
Awesome. It's all good. There's money to be made here. And they leave you to do your job unless you're a complete moron. But 3900 a week, you're a good worker. Like I said. I'm in 1609 wave at me.
