Thought today might be a screwed up day but man..... talk about coming up roses!! Had a delivery in Grand Rapids today at 1900. It was right down the road from the only truck stop within 20 miles that I know of. Figured it would all be full by the time I was emptied but...... can you believe a grocery warehouse only taking 1 hr from check in to leaving???AND!!!!!!!! there was even still plenty of parking at the truck stop and this place has puts out some GOOD eats!!!!!

JJ is on his way to Louisville KY on another round trip and should be home tonight sometime


The other day I was cruising around the load board and looked at a couple of loads for a Reefer putting together a hypothetical week for some friends and out of the three loads I looked at I got three calls asking if I was interested in the load lol.

 

make them learn the load board like you did me.

in shreveport for the night. , got all weekend to make sioux city.

 

Shhhhh snowwy, don't say that!!! We're trying to get her to expand her horizons some. If JJ would only buy another truck now...... lol

 

never park at the petro in shreveport.

trucks are parked. but man, the aisles are TIGHT.

meanwhile, my neighbor is burning 3 gallons per hour. temps aren't bad. could sleep with a nice breeze. but the noise is keeping me awake. may have to roll up the windows, lock the doors. and fire up the engine. i think he's the only truck running. hard to hear.

if you gotta run your engine that hight. for cooling. THROW SOME DARN FREON IN THE SYSTEM. MUCH CHEAPER THEN 3 GALLONS PER HOUR.

i did get a date tonight. for $20. and i didn't even have to get out of the truck. if only she took plastic.

 

Had a quiet Birthday yesterday JJ cooked me Breakfast and we had a nice day with the porch Posse yesterday and JJ grilled some steaks (Perfect medium Rare)

I am sending him out early to deliver a load he has on the trailer and then back to town to pick up his regular Monday run and he should be home early Tuesday afternoon to do his short haul runs for the rest of the week!

 

I had a nice birthday yesterday too Jess! Nice ride through the Hill Country and dinner with my DW.
