Just wanted to let you guys know. With the inspection enforcement coming up this next week Petro is offering free mid trip inspections. I believe you can goto the kiosk and get a coupon for it. Werner sent me this info thought I pass it on.

Just an FYI - especially for gamma, since I believe you will be traveling in this area

Here are the latest daily severe weather forecast details.

    • Sunday: Potential outbreak of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes from South Dakota and parts of Minnesota to western Kansas, and perhaps as far south as the northern Texas Panhandle. Hail, high winds, and some tornadoes are possible. Maximum TOR:CON: 5
    • Monday: Severe thunderstorm outbreak may continue from parts of the Central Plains to the Great Lakes. Damaging winds and large hail would be the main threats.
    • Tuesday and Wednesday: Another potentially significant round of severe weather, starting in the Central Plains Tuesday and spreading into the mid-Mississippi and Ohio Valleys for Wednesday. There is the potential for squall lines packing widespread damaging winds during this time frame. It is not out of the question that a derecho -- a long-lived squall line bringing damaging winds along a path of several hundred miles -- could develop. Maximum TOR:CON: 5 both days

George, if you are still in Kansas you will be within the severe storm area also.

This is the headset that many of the drivers use. They usually run about $100 at the truck stops...sometimes they have a $20 rebate. WalMart now carries them online with free shipping. You can also get the extended warranty on them thru WalMart. I recently had to take advantage of the extended warranty on youngest daughter's camera. Her camera was almost 2 years old, she dropped it. We got a full purchase price refund, no questions asked. Fast and easy ....well worth the few dollars extra.

Hopefully all of my map pins are updated and none of you are in Colorado. This is a crazy world .....

Be On Look Out. Do not approach. Suspect is armed and dangerous. If you see truck call 911

This morning at 7:41 a.m., a man entered the southbound Port of Entry
in Fort Collins and attempted to shoot a POE officer.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male in
his early to mid-30s, 5'7" to 5'9" tall, with short black hair, a
mustache, and a medium build. The suspect was last seen wearing a
light-colored short-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, and wraparound
    sunglasses.

The suspect allegedly entered the POE office, pointed a firearm of
unknown description at a POE officer, and pulled the trigger. The
firearm did not discharge. The suspect then climbed into a very dirty
white semi-tractor towing a white box trailer and continued southbound
    on Interstate 25.

The semi-tractor is reported to have the numbers "4177" behind the
passenger-side door. The numbers may be part of a larger number.

No further information is available at this time.

The Fort Collins Police Department is leading the investigation.
Anyone with information about the incident, the suspect, or the
vehicle should contact Officer Wes Haynes at 970-221-6540.

Oops, one more thing I forgot to mention - Many states have already started their blitz .....Nebraska has handed out 260 citations already.... the majority on brakes.
