I heard on here that they don't record all the time? But how we know that forsure is beyond me, that ain't right at all. Ask your FM how he/she would like a camera in there bedroom/bathroom/kitchen. Oh but we're truck drivers so we must be watched like children **** that

Ours only records every 8 minutes then overwrites itself. If we are involved in an accident then we have a red button on the dash to push that saves the accident and 2 minutes before and 2 minutes after the incident. I guess if you are upside down somewhere it might be somewhat awkward.

If this was a local job I'd deal with in a daycab. In a sleeper truck? Honestly, you can probably find another Otr company that pays the same or better without a cam in the truck. Once drivers start bailing other Otr companies probably would think twice before putting a cam in.

From my experience in dealing with a drivecam with crete, I will never work for a company that has them in trucks, again.
I have nothing to hide about my driving. I am tired of clueless desk jockeys who know nothing about trucks, telling me how to drive a truck.

When did Crete Carrier Corporation, (CCC), start putting cameras in their trucks??
Putting a camera inside one's living space is an absolute complete invasion of one's personal privacy, no reason for it whatsoever!

One of the reasons many people became over the road, (OTR), truck drivers was for both the solitude and privacy that went along with it, especially for the solo drivers.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

Cameras that point outward and record what's going on in front of, or around the truck, I can understand. Some companies that use them have saved enough in avoiding litigation to pay for the cameras. But, I would never drive for a company that has cameras pointing into the truck, cab or bunk. They either trust me, or they don't. A camera pointing in would prove they don't. And I would go find someone to work for who did.

Prime has been looking to do that too, they already have dash cams now. It's typical for these big mega-companies to micro-manage the hell out of the drivers, and for some, like prime and England it's a good way to pressure drivers into their ripoff lease-op programs.

What is there about how to drive a truck do you think is some sort of secret that any 16 y/o licensed motorist cannot easily discern is how it shouldn't be done...?

I would personally never drive for a company with a camera on me. I think it's a bit much. An outward facing camera? Ok. I'm looking into buying one.
