No, after plant closed I went to a driving school and graduated and was looking into different companies. Decided on Averitt, but recruiter said they didn't have a trainer available for me to go with for my 4 to 6 weeks till the 22nd of July...
I applied to Averitt

Just waiting on Maverick to verify me. I hope I didn't annoy Averitt by calling them this morning to check on things :\
-
How long has it been since you put in? I called after one week and the recruiter went ahead then and scheduled a phone interview. I called back that afternoon and checked to see how that went. They extended an offer then. But as I said before, because of the trainer its in July.

Whenever I first started this thread it was a day or two before that. I'm patient. It's probably taking longer because I messed up my employment date on my app. Put down Sept instead of Aug so it knocked the month solo out and auto-denied. Glad I called to check on that.

I would call them and check, never hurts to check. I'm calling tomorrow to see if I might be able to start sooner...maybe the trainer I'm getting is ahead of schedule with his current trainee. LOL
-
Heh, I take as much time with the trainer that I can. Nothing beats experience.
-
Am I right in saying that the reason you need tanker with Averitt is because of the hauling the white totes with the aluminum cage around them?
-
Not me training, hope he finishes early with the one he trains before me so I can start sooner....
