I'm about ready to start hitting those people!!! They make no sense, they want to be unionized so they don't have to be part of corporate America. Little so they know Unions are all part of corporate America!

 

On a side note, do any of you know a Detroit Diesel shop I can call and ask a few questions to about the pre EGR 14 Liter?

 

I had three, traded two off in October for two Toyota's! Still have the 47 though, but it was built before the company went to hell.

Having been involved in service for a lot of years i've always found the evening crews are either the best or the worst. No in between.

The good ones are when you get a group of guys that don't want to be around the shop for the day to day bs that happens with sales and management types hanging around.

What time do they start at? Its a bit of a rare motor so finding info on google is hard. I keep reading so many people saying the 14L was first put into trucks in 2003.... They never made a pre EGR one blah blah blah!! I have drove one before and am just curious about the cons of it. I know the pros, its a 575 1850 from the factory without any emissions crap on it. It pulls!!!

I know they bought them out pre emission, as I looked at them when I had my 2000 12.7 500 .
Those guys are the bee's knee's. They start at 4pm. Chad is the service writer, and I normally deal with either Jack or DeSean.
