Alright...Good thing google is my friend....May have to add to my friend list..
48Packard Thanks this. -
actually, you and all the others are making a big hoopla.
i merely made a comment. that's it's no big deal. it happens 3 times each summer season. that makes 9 inspections that i've participated in. and have yet to see a party. therefore, you all are making a big deal over nothing.gpsman Thanks this. -
You do? I don't. A quarter of the trucks that I pass on the highway I believe are going slow because any faster and they would fall apart. I wish they did this 3 times a year to keep the junk off the roads. And I wished they didn't announce it. If your doing your job you don't have jack to worry about.
I've been fully inspected 6 times, and many more paper checks, since this CSA stuff and my score is still 0. Do what your suppose to do and you'll stay mint. I don't mess around AT ALL with stuff. I REFUSE to take a truck or trailer down the road if ANY little thing is messed up, because at the end of the day its my license. My company makes enough money, so when I go to pickup a trailer that the last driver left with all kinds of issues, guess what? I call the company and tell them to send a service truck with x, x, and x to fix it because im not rolling anywhere with it like it is. I don't care if they find a garage 5 miles down the road, "Cool he'll be here soon then? K Thnx."
People really need to stand up. So many drivers are afraid of dispatchers or what not. I hold the number 1 card. "I Quit"NavigatorWife and gpsman Thank this. -
Maybe next week they could have a Roadcheck 2014 for 4-wheelers???

By estimating from statistical data.
"Since its inception in 1988, roadside inspections conducted during Roadcheck have numbered over 1 million, resulting in more than 301 lives saved and 5,530 injuries avoided."
The metric might consist of examining 25 years of deaths/injuries statistics the week before and after Roadcheck weeks.
Of course a decrease in those numbers could be at least partially attributable to steering wheel holders/professional victims who know they and their equipment are unsafe and stay off the road those 3 days.
I'm pretty sure commercial airline pilots don't have a forum where a single pilot has ever complained about suffering a "ramp check", or the FAA "Sterile ####pit" reg. -
They take the average number of people shot or ran over by officers usually assigned to patrol duty and multiply by 3.
-
Lots of inspections going on east of Boise

It's called rolling road blocks. Check tag, license, and whether you seem drunk or smell of illegal substances.
