I got employed directly with Ryder. And I will be working out of Kansas City. I have heard nothing but good things from some of the local drivers but only time will tell. I look at you can make any job a good job just depends on attitude and it can not be any worse than Fastenal with the long hours and screwed up schedule.

Any info on transfer drivers out of upstate New York as far as pay scale? I understand the shop in upstate newburgh New York is union? I applied here to see if I could get in with a good outfit. They provide uniforms and boots?
-
I am a relief driver out of Kansas City and we are not union. But I love working for Ryder. Its good pay for what I do and yes they provide uniforms and $100 towards boots every year.
-
I just sent in my resume with one year of Swift experience and they replied saying they were interested. This is in the Northwest, anybody work for Ryder up that way?
-
Not to many people of here employed by Ryder. Any info how the process works as far as what they use to pull out info doing your back ground? Hopefully someone can chime in. Yhikes what is it you do for them?

I am a relief driver it could be dry freight, flatbed or hazmat. If someone gets sick or goes on vacation I come in and fill their spot. Some weeks I will work a full week or just a couple of days. But I am always guaranteed a min 1k a week. The bad thing is I am always on call but very few of our accounts work on the weekend.
HouseOfPain Thanks this. -
