Are you guys trained monkeys? Do you simply ask, "how high?" if someone says, "jump!" I can assure you if I am on a break, be it a 34-hour reset, 10-hour rest, 30-minute break, pee break, meal time, or any other occasion that is MY time AND off-duty, that I am not interrupting any of it for any kind of inspection.
Think about it, you're 33 hours and 45 minutes into a reset, are you really going to say, "okay officer, let's just do that inspection and I'll just take another 34."? If an officer walks into the restaurant where you're having lunch and says, "I want to inspect that [insert carrier name and truck brand here]," you're just going to put your fork down and jump right up at their bidding? I sure hope not. So why should it be any different if you're legally parked and on some kind of off-duty break?
Of course, don't be an idiot about it, but just politely and firmly refuse. Let them know you're off-duty, but you would be happy to assist their inspection in [whatever hours, minutes, seconds] when you're back on-duty.

In such a situation, where you are off-duty and in the middle of a break, I am not sure they have the right or authority to ask, but I am pretty sure you have the right to politely decline.
