I just wanted to say thanks to all you truckers out there. I myself am not a truck driver, but I recently stumbled across this forum, and it has opened my eyes to the world of trucking. Often times, you guys and gals are on the receiving end of disgust from the general public. I just wanted to let you all know that there are people who do respect and realize that without you drivers the US would grind to a screeching halt, and well do whatever we can to help, whether its on or off the road.
On a side note, as a captain for a major US airline I see that the issues facing both of our industries are very similar. Rising fuels cost effect both the airline and trucking industry more than what we would like. We also share the problem of bottom feeding companies paying crap wages and lowering the standards of the entire industry. But anyways, thats a topic for another thread!

Hey, thank you to all you pilots out there as well, delivering us safely from place to place, despite the problems of companies trying to squeeze wages and upping work hours and trying to make you take off with poorly maintained and often unsafe planes all the time! (hey that does sound a lot like the trucking industry from what I heard here...
