Road Ranger Pilot in South Beloit, IL. Lost a nice run to Fontana but still managed to get one heading south again.

At home, again. Ran a quick load to Pepsi in San Diego on Tuesday and a 13K load from Ontario that I t-called in Phoenix on Wednesday.
I'm headed back to eastern Washington tomorrow for my brother's memorial then back OTR on Tuesday. Gonna have to stay out the rest of the summer in order to dig out of the hole I'm in. Between the 10 days I spent in Washington with family and the 10 days I spent on vacation I only ran 4800 miles for the month of May. If my truck was my only source of income I'd be in serious trouble about now. -
If you find yourself trapped in the inspection lanes at the Phoenix terminal and an attractive young lady in mechanics clothing greets you consider yourself lucky. She's one of the newer techs working the inspection lanes but she definitely knows what she's doing. She did a 6 month PM on the trailer I had yesterday in less than 15 mins. Half of the techs in Phoenix can't find your trailer in 15 mins let alone get any work done on it.

yeah..she's a cutie. seen her last time i was thru there. unfortunately, i was not in her lane

Between Sioux Falls and Sioux City on the I-29.
Nice and warm here, so it is an idling kind of evening. Hopefully it will cool down enough by the time I go to sleep to turn it off.
I made it all the way through the blitz without being pulled in, until I got on I-29.
There was an open check station, but it was winding up for the day and I was waved through. -
post falls id. delivered the load and drove here to the flying j. been here with no preplans yet. a whole 1.5 hrs worked today
-
Waved through every time during the blitz. The state boys had enough on their hands inspecting the independents whose trucks looked like they haven't seen the inside of a Blue Bacon in five years.
-
yeah...hit every scale going thru oregon and washington that was open and drove straight thru.
