Don't roll into the weigh station west of Canton, TX that's full of full grown Texas bears with a flat tire and expect to roll on through.
My post trip thumping and pre trip pressure check didn't prevent one from dying a silent death.
Got me flagged at the weigh station. On the plus side, that was the only problem with my truck and trailer.
Officer Zaboroski who did my inspection was really nice and had a good sense of humor.

I wave at DOT as I bypass the scale.

I went through there yesterday bobtail & I never stopped rolling. I eased on through & they never motioned for me to stop, so I just rolled on out.
They did have a bunch of THP and some other state inspectors of some sort in blue jump suits. The two I seen was females & had "STATE" written on the back of the jump suit. I dont know who they were but I didnt stop & ask either.
In all, over the 3 days, I have to say I made out pretty well. The chicken coops were so full most of the time, I only had to go through one coop & one check station. I was pleased about that

Yeah they were fixing to wave me through till the officer who did my inspection saw the flat tire.
I'm guessing the guys in blue jump suits must be THP but the ones with the duty to get down and dirty with the full level 1 inspections. I got a quick and dirty level 2. -
I run the northeast. Didn't see much the last few days. Saw an inspection station set up in MA which is usually empty. Maine was going crazy. Went to Maine twice this week and managed to get in 5 minutes before they opened up. Saw at least 30-40 state officials at the northbound 95 coop. 5 minutes after I passes I hear on the Cb "coops are open" it was a good feeling since they were behind me LOL. Got out of the state after they closed both days.

I've been running NJ, NYC Metro and PA during the 'blitz'. Not one DOT officer to be seen. Tomorrow I'll be going through PA, NY, CT, MA and NH. I'll let you know how that works out.

I had that happen once too. I did my walk around everything looked good .
within about 300 miles I pulled into a open scale and got a red light . I thought oh #### !!! I know I am bbq over weight .
well here I seen the guy come out and look at my trailer , and kinda figured I had a flat or something. Lol
It was a inside tire too , and a light load so I never noticed it. -
Not too many Texas scales have prepass. That one in Terrell didn't have the last time I was through there but that's been several years. usually if they are open, not a lot of trucks get to bypass.
-
Must have drove by you today, I was going EB by Terrell when they were doing them, full when I went by but didn't stop the two trucks in front of me from pulling in even though the lights weren't flashing, gluttons for punishment I guess.
