I'm liking it pretty good. Should have done this years ago but glad I'm here now. I like running out of sealy just need to be in Florida for my daughter otherwise id just stay. It seems like it takes about 6 months to get on a program here. So maybe in 3 months or so I'll get one. I think it will be a lot better when I get on a program. I can understand you staying if you have a better shot on the board. I got 2 under me haha. They are hiring 5 more they said.

    The wife here, again.

What they told you is true. What they didn't tell you is that more people DON'T make it their first time, than do. Many people try multiple times before they get in.

They have a method that works for them. In the "good ol days" it was very much a "who you know" kind of thing. That changed after some people got hired with little experience. Things like that can really hurt the company. So, they changed everything and made it very cut and dry. It can hurt, but you learn a lot, and are better prepared for the next time.

Sorry you didn't make it this time, but I will bet you do the next time.)

Hey there. Remember me? I talked to you and your husband at the trucking rodeo. Well I too failed my pretrip at Hurricane. Somethings I never thought to point out, and a couple brain farts I knew better on. They told me the same thing. To reapply in 12 month's. If my safety record stays the same, they said they would call me again.

They say only 3 out of 10 make it all the way through. So don't feel to bad just try it again. It will be worth it in the end. Now you guys know what to look for. I got lucky made it through the first try.

Gloria here. Sorry you didn't make it this time. However, I bet you will fly right through the next time.

Some of the stuff seems so no brainer that you don't think to mention it. For Walmart, you have to mention everything, no matter how small.

Well they told me that unless you know some one that works there your chances r slim on the pre trip because they r pickier than the dot they also said that the hire rate is low one the first try 95% of first time applicants don't make it but usually on the second try they do

    Gloria again.

That's not true at all. Knowing someone means nothing. Yes, they are picky. They need to be picky because no one has a bigger bullseye on their back, than a Walmart driver.

Watch youtube videos on pre trips. Study your manuals, as Walmart is by the book. Mention everything you are looking at, and why. Be as polite to them as they are to you.

Remember that no one spends more money training their drivers than Walmart does. They want a driver for life. So no, it isn't easy, and it shouldn't be.
