    Finally took the time to do my May lost runs report made $27,105 on 10,344 miles 2,524 empty miles 7,820 loaded miles best part was I only sleep in the truck 9 nights.

    i only have truck,how hard is it to convince a shipper to use my services?i know couple of places close to where i live that pay decent(hauled some loads when i used to work for mercer)should i stop by and ask?

    Of course you should stop and ask. Hope they will give you a shot then give them outstanding service and limit the use of the word no as much as possible.

    Don't think it's a handy cap, I find that in most cases shippers want someone local but really don't know how to find truckers and I'm up front with them I may not be able to move a load that day when they call but if there flex able I can help them out. Something else I push is when the call my number they get me I can give them a price or say when I can do it they don't have to wait for someone to call them back, it's not like you need lots of shippers just a few that work with your business model.

    I would suggest you get some business cards nice suit and knock on doors it only took me 15 years to get where I want to be!
