I scaled 3 times yesterday. All green lights, running 79k.

was in my car today but saw the old spot where a scale used to be on the 14 was full of trucks and inspectors earlier today.

I'm spending my blitz at the house. Can't see a scale for miles, and the DOT seems completely unconcerned about my Honda :).

Tuesday and Wednesday, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but I run vampire.

It's kind of funny though, last night, I was on US 33 between Columbus and 75, about 40 miles from home, but had to stop for a comfort break. An Ohio state trooper pulled up behind as I stopped and wanted to look at my log book. Basically, I think he wanted to BS for a few minutes, because he just thumbed through it and sent me on my way. So, I made it through the whole blitz, only to get stopped a couple hours after it was over.

I saw no difference these 3 days. Got prepassed at the same scales that always do and rolled across the ones normally open. If anything there seemed like less enforcement. I wonder if the FMCSA actually wants less trucks to get ticketed during this time so they can wave the CSA flag around and point at the "improvement" since they started it. They tell the states "Don't worry boys you can go back to revenue collection as usual after this blitz where we record how much safer the industry is on our watch"

The west bound scale near Terrell, Texas on 20 was having a field day.

Scale north of Nashville on I-65 was working pretty good yesterday afternoon, even with lot of heavy rain. But I think just checking paperwork. Probably didn't want to get wet.
And yesterday, just south of Little rock, they had 20 bay areas, doing full inspections. So much it was talked about on Road dog radio. But I breeze right across without getting it. Maybe they were too busy for me.

they should be doing their job all year not just for a 3 day blitz, to me it seems advertising this and limiting to a 3 day marathon just gives those who run illegal or with horrible equipment to just be off until its over and they wont catch the ones who really need to be caught but instead harass the ones who run like a true driver day after day.
