I saw yesterday, every truck pulled over on 294 in IL had a hazmat placard. Me thinks the DOT were picking on HM carriers.

didnt I hear from a few sources that this year they were going to focus on HM loads? I might be wrong but thought I saw that written somewhere.

Yes...this year's shakedown focused largely on HM. Was checked four times. Once last Friday and three times yesterday....fuel tanker.

The day before it began I heard on Road Dog Trucking radio that HM was the main focus this year.
We had plenty of warning, and they've never been secretive about it. -
It's over we can all breathe a sigh of relief until next June.....

I believe they held a couple of them last year.

Illinois has their own 72 hours blitz. Don't know when though.

Illinois has been spending the last month on the trucks.

Was sent around back at I-95 Flagler Beach scales for inspection, but after I told them I had a level 3 on 5/30/14 they let me go.
