What I saw today

I saw a buttcrack on the side of the road...ohhhhh my eyes! Theyre still burning!

 

Almost ran over a speed goat today. (antelope for the uninitiated.) Just glad it was not a swamp donkey (moose)

 

I seen fire and I seen rain.
Today was a sunny day I thought would never end.

Florida wildfires on SR72. Could see the plumes in the distance ten miles away. On the way I go through a couple little FL squalls. Cells. Raining on one side of the road. not on the other. Get up to them and the one was burning real good (big flames - felt the heat) right on the edge of the road melting the asphalt edge. One tiny little brush (4WD pick up with a portable tank and a hose not much bigger than a garden hose) truck trying to put it out. Part of the Mayaka River State Park.

Did run over two possum on the half shell (armadillos), one actual gut muncher (possum) and hit a crane (probably endangered with my luck) with the top of my condo (thankfully it wasn't my windshield; it was an awful big thud); all hauling arse outta the fire as fast as I was. We just had perpendicular lines of travel and no traffic control devices.

Saw endless miles of sawgrass, then of green lush grass plains. Ranching Florida style. Then the groves. Wow the SMELL. Pungent.
Then I got to the central FL cities and saw amazingly expensive real estate and tourist attractions; with a small field with COWS in it right next to it.

Florida - amazing place. Get off the interstate and the normal thirty minutes it takes you to cover thirty miles seems like it took an hour. Yet, for some reason, you don't seem to mind. It's . . . well; it's Florida. It's interesting. Don't like the scenery? Don't worry. It'll change in half an hour. Don't like the weather? Don't worry. It has a half hour cycle too. LOL.

At one site today the home owner was an older lady wearing a string bikini. She must have been really hot when she was younger.

 

Driving this morning there was a woman putting eye makeup as she was weaving through traffic.

 

I sadly saw and smelled a bag of feces some scum bag dumped on the ground at the truck stop.

 

I saw a bird riding on the back of a horse.

 

The weirdest thing I have seen was a dead kangaroo in the median on 412 in TN going from Jackson to Dyersburg. I thought I had been on the road way too long and needed rest. Then I got about 10 miles down the road and saw an animal safari with all types of exotic animals. Apparently, he escaped and made it a good distance before he was hit. I just can't imagine what went through the heads of the people that hit it. "Was that a kangaroo"? "Dude, this is some good ****".

 

I'm so vain I think every post is about me. Good one there night flight.
