My Quality Drivers/Celadon experience April 2014

The aggressiveness that was shown in that attempt to sign you up doesn't surprise me in the least. The Celadon driving school "admissions counselors" are more than like on a student recruitment qouta, and possibly commission based. After all, Celadon does need indentured servants.

 

I am here actually in Indy at the Dorms. Everything seems good. The 24 hour bus ride wasn't fancy though. You got 16 days to get your license and CDL Permit here. You miss two days of testing, but starts that Wednesday. That should be plenty of time and if you cannot pass those basic test to have your permit then you shouldn't be driving. We go over everything in class and get books to study for it. Their is plenty of information available to you for you to pass. No excuses! I have no problems with this place thus far. Glad I choose this place.

Already got two of my test completed today. Hopefully, I will be ready and out of here in my third week since I practically know everything but the parallel parking. Lots of people are enjoying their time here. Clearly after you test and get your permit they will definitely work with you one on one. The slower learners have been here from 6-9 weeks. Classes are big though. No biggie! Lots of people are here from CRE, C1, and CRST as well. It goes to show for me that this is by far a better school for those looking to get into this industry/career.




The two options for teaming are 0.18 cents a mile for 240k miles or 0.15 cents a mile for 120k miles. You will choose what you want to do after your 4-6 weeks out with a trainer when you're finally ready to team with someone from your class etc. The 120k miles, they say you will average 4-6k miles a week with pay ranging from 600-900. Should hopefully be doable within 6 months for the 120kmiles. I can't complain, after you fulfill your contract and start driving solo you start out at 0.33 cents a mile. That is by far more then any other company, equipment is nice and everyone seems pretty laid back here. They treat you like a human being, have a fantastic school and great equipment. Everything is also paid for, you get breakfast, lunch and dinner here as well. You pay no up front cost here. NONE! Unless you smoke. Their are a few gas stations near by such as Walmart, McDonalds, and a few other places if you drive or walk.

So far I give this school a 9/10.

 

120k miles, not as bad as 240 obviously.....ok that sounds much better. I got the paperwork going with Celadon earlier today, maybe I will have an answer soon.

 

Hi I Leave Sunday May 8th for Indy.And anyone that is at the school right now or has been in it have any advise?

And all so is there a good place online where I can start to study for my tests?

Hey Dum..Green should finish fairly quickly. I think he has already been through the swift training. So he already has experience with driving and parking.
