Roadcheck 2014

None in Montana thus far...headed to Oklahoma.

 

East and Westbound scale in Billings was closed today. They must be out roving around.

 

From what I heard no one has been stopped in Montana, sure Wyoming will get us though

 

Sidney scale was open today for north bound traffic and that one is usually closed.

 

first time i ever seen chicago scale open. and they had 3 boxes and 1 semi. small party, but it's my first party i've seen in 4th summer out here.

if they're doing inspections at the boise scale. that would be a first. it's usually business as usual in the western hemisphere. cept for new mexico.

 

Ive past about 10 weight stations nothing but closed.

 

There was 3 Vans full of em at the scale house on the Idaho side of Teton Pass today.

 

I don't know if anybody else experienced what I did this week. I drove all over the northeast and only saw one open inspection area this afternoon in PA on I80 in a rest area. Drove right through, the cops were in their cars playing with their phones for all I know. Usually every single little tiny inspection area big enough to hold one truck is open 24 hrs a day in this area during " screw with a truck driver" week.
What gives? Did the various state police agencies just " fake it"?
Weird..... Not that I'm complaining.
