I did my drop and hook in Munster. . On the way I received a 3 load offer. .

Rockford to Salina
Ottawa to Waxahatchie
And a short run to St Louis

I took the Salina run. .660 miles. . And the load cancelled about 5 minutes later. Ugh

So they put me on the Waxahatchie 4 drop load. .950 loaded miles. . Be there tomorrow night. .PROBLEM! Last week's 3, 600 miles took every bit of my 70.. so I'm paying for it this week. I am running on recap hours and HAD 3 available at time of dispatch. . Only gained 8 at midnight. Impossible to do legally. .so I called Mark and he took me off that load. (Didn't want it anyway, That's why I didn't take it in the first place lol)

So they sent me another load and it cancelled 5 minutes later. Have I told you I'm glad my qual com talks to me, I would have been going insane stopping to read those messages.

I finally got a load from Harvard IL to KC.. drop hook both ends. .I arrived at the Petro in Rochelle with zero minutes left to drive. I gain 8 hours at midnight and KC is 500 miles away. . I'm leaving at midnight with my foot on the floor. . This will be tight.

After I deliver tomorrow I'll head to the house. .I need a reset. . Running on recap blows. .

I checked my settlement. .3, 600 miles = $5, 100 gross - truck pymnt $579 - $100 ins etc - $250 maintenance acct
My net is $1, 951.00

**to be fair. .I need to say that is a great check. .BUT I'm suffering this week due to lack of hours. . I'll end up with approx 1, 700 miles. . Which after all the payments will net me approx $500 next week. .it all evens out.

 

I just checked. . They are Paccar shocks so BK is correct, they must have replaced them.

The wheel balancers are still on the truck.. Unless they were taken off and replaced by someone else.

 

Back to the grind stone..

Showed up yesterday at the yard in hopes of finding a trailer. . Decided to be lazy and qual commed John. .. he said to take trailer 1897.. My little voice kept talking to me. . Bad feeling.

I received a load going from KC to St Bernard OH..I know we've discussed this load. . Has good points but I just don't like it. .I literally hate going east.

So I get loaded. . Tandems won't slide/handle won't pull. .I refuse to do battle with a trailer this close to the yard so I head to ACT. .Arietta gets me right in. . And I'm told the release mechanism is assembled wrong and it needs a federal. .

It's an old trailer! There are no recent scar marks on the bolts.. how long has it been assembled wrong? !

So I'm sitting at the yard. .I qc Mark and let him know. . And he qc me back saying he'll put me in for the $50 trailer repair pay. . (Forgot about that)
