Made it home for the night. Got a lot of Maint to do on the truck tomorrow, then load up some more radioactive and head to Utah again. Got a reload on Monday going to Houston, then hopefully back home before next weekend. Then gonna run local/regional stuff till end of July

Most admit did catch myself drifting once and boy oh boy the next rest stop seemed like hours away I think it was only about 10 miles though. Called a buddy to help make it the last little bit.

I've pushed my luck with getting sleepy more than I care to admit. Glad it wasn't worse.
In other news, I did not find any loads I cared to pull out of Des Moines, but I did find this lightly used fine piece of craftsmanship ! Need the motor and axles for one in the shop.

didnt want 40calglock to have all the fun and since it seems like a good time as any. I decided I would throw on some flip flops. crawling under my ride at the nice cool 109° weather. to drop the pan and change the main bearings and rod bearings
nice and warn out at 910k. miles.
guess this CAT. has scene better days. -
Had my first escort by inconspicuous vehicle load today. Not black Tahoes so I was a little disappointed. Lightning prevented the crane from being used so we have to wait until morning. At least they let us drop our trailers.
peterbilt_2005 Thanks this. -

Petrol in Albert Lea. One of those days where I felt like I worked a good full day but didn't put many miles on. Dump my load off in Mpls in the morning then head to the shop and piddle around on the truck. I might just decide to drink beer and goof off or maybe combination of the two.
dannythetrucker Thanks this. -
Well, another day of spending money on the truck. Earlier this week I spent $500 on all new shocks. Today it's 2 new steer tires and all new cab shocks. Then going home to replace hood pins, and a suspension leveling valve.
