In Va. on I81 yesterday I saw 2 wrecks on the way back to the plant. When I got in they had a load for me to leave out with and when I headed back North on I81 there was another wreck in the same place as one of the other wrecks. It was construction and I guess no one was paying attention. An escort car for a wide load rear ended some one then when I came back thru a tractor trailer had rear ended another tractor trailer. It did not look good.

Hey Jess... We don't have access to a load board yet... Just for my curiosity, how do loads look out of the SLC/Ogden area to northern CA tomorrow?? DM is saying we are on a 'list' and nothing is moving west out of there... Not quite sure if I believe it :/

I remember when I was a company driver and they'd have us sit all day somewhere, usa telling us drivers there was nothing. And we would grumble about it. Really does open a person's eyes to what they're up against at times when you self dispatch as an o/o. Really sucks being in a deadzone and there's a bunch of them. It makes you realize pretty quickly, or you will go out of biz, you better get a rate to justify going to that deadzone. Otherwise you will sit and none of them feels sorry for you that's for sure.

For a newbie... Besides Denver, where are some of those dead zones?
