Richwood KY at shipper for break while they load. Told me to just stay in dock and get bills when ready to leave at 4am. Been here four hours and still no loading...maybe they feel guilty? Ha

I-17 Sunset rest area north of Phoenix. Had 23 minutes left no way to make it to terminal. Relay this in AM and live load for Texas on Monday. Nice view behind it down into a valley.

Have had the worst week ever on this job.
As such, I cannot in good conscience even think about training ROEHL students here,
    I give that idea up.

Day one. Deliver 8 miles from home. Arrive on time, with only 11 hours on my 70, no biggie.
Takes 3 hours to unload. Pick up new load on way to Gary. Run to Morris. Arrive on time, 1 1/2 hours on duty in a truck line waiting to check in at gate! Get in D/H. Send Mt. Get new load. 4 hours left to clock. Pick up at location am at
    YEA!!!
Not yea! Load not loaded. They need 5 reefers. Tell me to fetch all 5, then can have my load. Get sent to Gary for 1. Arrive with 3 hours left. Look for reefer. All have maint. locks. All serious work needed. Find one. It doesn't start. Take to maint.
    They fix and do annual.
I start new day. Crap!!!! Only 3 hours. No hours gained. Talk to sub fm, tell her can pick up, but cannot deliver load today.
We talk, she asks what's wrong. I say something about home stress. She says she'll get to work with cs.
I drive halfway there, my load gets canned. $¥<{}€!!!!!!
I call in and drive back to Gary. I get a call there. My load and reefer are to go to another driver.
Give em up and take forced day off away from home.
Wake up next day, cant find a dry van!!!! Find one with maint help. Needs quick work. Gets fixed. I go. Im late 1 hr. Arrive, my preload is now a live!!!
They start loading. 4 hours later, im good to go. I arrive to con 10 mins late and get reemed by con.
4 hours and 250.00 later load is off.
Trlr is a mess. Im also 1 hr from being late to current shipper!
I call shipper, fm, and everyones clued in. I arrive 1 1/2 hrs late.
    Np, shipper says.
All should of been well. It wasn't. I made a critical error.
I backed up after GOAL and woefully miscalculated my proxy to yellow guard poles. Bumper almost torn off.
Had to remove by hand to move truck.
Took pics, called fm, safety, maint; confessing this idiotic thing I commited.
Took a sec to collect my thoughts, beat myself up thoroughly!!!
Then put truck in dock and was loaded. I really, really hate myself right now.

A friend of mine said this sounds like a real bad week and made an excuse for me....but I don't. It never, NEVER should of happened.
On a side note, I miss my normal fm...

Thanks. But the thing that really tears me up, is this was the second time doing it.
A year ago, same damage, same way. This being my first year...I have to beat myself up over this one.

Hey, you ALL can't quit!!! Who's going to keep this thread going? The upside is the "Life After Roehl" thread should have plenty of new Roehl graduates.

Is Roehl experiencing a driver shortage? Sounds like there's an ongoing mass exodus and many others thinking about it.

Dark Squall and Trish in SC Thank this.

Roehl no longer cares about keeping drivers because they have a steady stream of new drivers coming through orientation and the school. It amazes me that I still am getting fairly crap miles knowing in the last 2 weeks that 5 flat drivers I knew about quit. Who knows how many the actual number is. They have figured out the swift formula
