Pacar MX Engine fuel mileage

Thanks for posting... I'm thinking of one of these to pull trains also. There isn't enough feedback on these 500/1850 motors.

 

I found next to nothing on the internet about these engines but they have become extremely popular around here and I trust the guys that I talked to so I went for it. the 485 had a ton of tiny issues with them but so far everyone loves their 500's. I think they redesigned the def lines and fuel return lines which were by far the two biggest beefs that I heard. The extra torque makes a big difference in the bush too obviously.

I have a 2016 Kenworth with 500 hp paccar. Love it. 4.5 mpg on computer on average hauling round wood Quad. A lot of back roads and woods roads

 

You know some here will be wondering which dealer you work for.

 

I have a t700 2012 Kenworth also paccar engine I was wondering my engine light is on but it's something to do with the DEA fuel injector do you know anything about that

I have a 2012 KW T660 with a Paccar MX 13 455hp engine. Other than routine maintenance and the manual cleaning of the DEF system I haven't had any issues with mine. I just turned 751k still getting 7-8 mph with an Eaton Fuller Ultrashift transmission.
