I'm sure they still care, they've just lost sight of issue amongst other things. If you get an exit interview be sure to bring it up, turnover is a huge problem for the industry. I will say that I've heard that the company is mainly students at this point, and they expect a higher rate of turnover. What I couldn't believe when I heard that is that they're okay with it. 90-100% turnover is terrible, I know it's par for the industry but shame on them for not striving to be the best.

Today is the last day of my current job, and the main reason I'm leaving is that I'm embarrassed to be associated with the company I work for. Their only concern is making money, for themselves, at the expense of compliance and safety. We have a number of policies that are direct contradictions of the FMCSR's that were created by a safety director 2 years away from retirement with no previous safety experience or knowledge of the FMCSR's. I can only hope that Roehl doesn't follow this path, sacrificing any of their values for profit. Once you go down that path, it's very difficult if not impossible to come back from it.

Maybe this explains my week from Hell Melton.
I know my reg. fm is on vac. But this week was and still is terrible. I don't even want to think about the miles I actually ran. Probably 1500. Another 800 if I can get rolling today. Big if. They have me somewhere to rig the bumper back on.
If i had a hammer, I could do it myself. But I don't
Maybe this is why no one yesterday mentioned firing me as well. My mind was on it for sure.

We all have bad days man. Trust me I have. Don't beat yourself up. Learn from it, move on. You'll be fine.

Active usa is the company and yes I will have to undeck and put in axles. Its a union job and peterbilt is expanding and producing more trucks. They have not ever laid anyone off at this location. I have a friend who just started and all he gets is long runs so I am not worried about it.

Could be worse. You could be sitting in the customs office at the canada/us border trying to get the paperwork straightened out so that you can attempt to get home with the clock ticking away.

Headed to effingham for fuel then south to ga. Lost a Chicago to Indy to Nebraska run due to a load not being ready when we arrived. Cancel came quick and new preplan too. Not gonna complain, been a long time since I've had a load cancel. Was in chicago yesterday, beggars walking up to truck at Fullerton and Cicero. Not used to that.

    Your story Gingersquatch?
I have my card, but each time its a new quarter, says im still Can restricted.
Fm knows I have it. No idea why am still restricted.
But if I cannot get home tonight, no reset again come end hometime

Hey now GB... im not whinning. This week just has been the worst. Tells me how good my reg fm really is. I worked and ran 2x harder this week than last. Last week 3000 miles. This week 2000.

If i don't get him back next week, after I do close quarters and pip, I may take up offers.
Talked to NTB yesterday. They only do Regional round Great Lakes, matched my current pay w/o a safety contingency, and offered 2 full days home weekly. Not necessarily a weekend, but thats good! Bc no one important is open on weekends. They wanted to mail me an app, cause I meet their min requirements of working.

This is my second trip to Canada. My first one was with my trainer 2 months ago, and he got the paperwork screwed up then too. After he got it sorted out, he tried to explain it to me but he still didn't understand it all the way so I got even less comprehension of it and they only go over half what you need in the guides on the qc. After i got the border i finally found out what i actually needed. Now that I screwed it up for myself, I think I know what to do for future loads.

Dark Squall and Trish in SC Thank this.
