Dang man. That's good money. I would have never thought that much could have been made driving. No I am not getting star eyes seeing dollar signs and wanting to lease. I am very new and I do not plan on leasing. I have ran multi-store retail business and lost it due to the economy, but running that kind of business and running this kind of business are two different beast! I am just wanting to get in and see if I like it and stay a company driver.
Does your fuel, lease payment and other operational cost come out of that or is that after all expenses?

no no no!...I made 900 in 4 mo as a student driver. Prime and Swift pay by the week not by the mile while you are in training. CRST has NO scruples! Not kidding. There are probably other co's that pay by the week in training..PAM, Werner....NOT CRST!....They are dishonest and could care less about drivers.
Yea, and home every weekend? BS... This guy is in management at CRST.
One of my trainors was leasing and he was always, always in the hole....900 or more. I think you are also a manager of CRST.
You know, any one can post anything on this...esp when it comes to bigger and better.Last edited by a moderator: May 31, 2014

Malone is not owner operators only. They have a ton of lease purchase trucks in the Malone fleet along with company trucks in Rockport In Alcoa Tn, and Eldridge,Ia to service the Alcoa account.CRST claims to be 100 percent owner operator in the Malone side except for the company trucks, If that makes any sense

My husband is a company driver and gets paid less then $500a week. His loads are always being taken from him by the night dispatch. He can't keep a co driver because they are all leaving because the pay sucks, so my husband sits with no layover pay. He had to get maintenance done on the truck and was down for a week and a half, no layover. CRST took their time approving his maintenance. They wanted him to run 150 miles on bad tires, but my husband told them he would only run if it was approved by safety. They had tires in 1 hour. They say they never get your logs, don't reimburse you for tolls or headlights, or scale tickets until you ##### about it. We keep record of everything together. He has been asked to be a trainer, but it's been almost a month and they haven' set him up yet. His fleet manager is cool, and helps him get good loads, but when he's not there, there's always a problem.

Wait just a doggone minute lol. This thread is confused. The name of the thread is crst/Malone Crst is not the same so stop posting crst complaints. Crst/Malone has no trainers or company trucks. They don't run student drivers. Pay attention to the post your complaining on. Just saying.

CRST Malone does have company trucks. They are for the Alcoa account,Crst Malone says they only have a few company trucks so they fell they are 100% owner operator, but in reality they are about 98% owner operator
