No, I don't think Hogan is a great alternative but he can always point out the leak to a DOT cop, LOL.

You can do worse than USA...where to start...England, Schneider, Central Refrig, Swift, US Xpress, Werner, PAM, JB Hunt, Stevens Transport... To name a few. These companies were all bad even when I first got my CDL in 1999. Actually, from what I've seen, USA has stepped up a notch...maybe a small one but still... I would work for USA before working for any of the companies I mentioned. And the driver that said he was offered 22 cents was talking about after his 10 cents per mile per diem. Noone was offering 22 cents even back in 1999...noone. Although, back in 1999, with 5 months experience, I got a job with a large company that paid me 35 cents per mile. So many of these large outfits are really ripping their drivers pay-wise because with the effects of inflation, a new driver should really be starting at a minimum of 37 cents per mile with the most/more experienced at at least 45 cents. Between the trucking outfits and the Feds, they've made it tougher to make a living, for sure. Good luck out there.

The OP may very well like working at USA Truck. I bet if you go to any of the so called "Bottom feeder" companies you will find guys who think they found the perfect company. What everybody's idea of the "best job in trucking" is up to the individual.
