I looked up their safe stats on FMCSA's web site, and it looks like they might have some driver problems. The safety statistics on the drivers side of the statistics was very high, 92.25 on a 100 scale. That kind of matches up with the badly damaged tractor I saw being hauled home on a hook on the tollway the other day, looks like the driver slammed it into something shorter than the cab.
They are a refrigerated hauler, have a main office in Chesterton In and I think 2 other offices, one in New York and one in Mississippi if I remember correctly. Mostly run IH conventionals. 908 trucks in the fleet, and 924 drivers listed on their form. I'm not 100% certain, but I remember hearing that they were formed up from some other companies and aren't that old operating under the Priority name. I don't remember seeing much of their stuff until the last 8-9 months or so, so that could be true. I know the location in Chesterton is the one that used to belong to KAT transport, and I haven't seen any of their stuff around for a while in the midwest.

For what it's worth, I got behind a Priority driver today and followed him from Fort Wayne Indiana down to St Marys Ohio, roughly 75 miles or so on 2 lane stste highways. Impression I got following him was that he was just about overwhelmed by the workload of driving the truck. When pulling away from a stop, the trucks in front of him would move out, and he and all behind him went at a much slower pace, like he was having problems shifting and getting up to speed. On several 90 degree turns in small towns on the route, he had to back and fill to get around the turn, something that I have never before seen in 2 years running that route frequently. He just didn't seem to have an awareness of the size and maneuvering of his truck.

On the other hand, he did get that far safely and successfully, even though I couldn't give him much for style points. I can't claim if he was new or experienced, but it looked to me like a driver struggling with or fighting the truck, rather than being comfortable with what he was doing. I didn't se a CB antenna, and even if he had one, I wasn't going to call and possibly increase his in cab workload. There's no real plus or minus meaning to this, it just happened to pop up shortly after you asked.

A driver may read about my total horrible expierence with Priority Transportation at [edited] . I only worked for them for about 6 weeks, but I witnessed enough to convince me to initiate a Federal Investigation and create a website to persue some justice. I believe that because I complained to them about problems with the company, they have discriminated against me, terriorized me, and caused me to lose my personal property - even going so far as to force me off of thier property via intimidation and threat of arrest. They still have my dentures and I am determined to get to the bottom of all the crap going on with that company. I have found out within the last few days that people who have hired and dealt with me - no longet work there. I have been driving since 1989, have not had an accident in 35 years, and no tickets in 30 years. I think they do not like drivers who want things right and legal. My dispatcher has indeed asked me to drive when it would have been illegal for me to do so. An investigation is ongoing. PLEASE VIEW ALL THE DETAILS AT [edited]

It's creating a few questions and some shouting from the litle voice in the back of my head that in 6 weeks of work they managed to run you to the point of losing your home and going under. Are you sure all this is attributable to this one company? granted there may have been some problems, but from yoru story all they did was ask you to do a load that would have put you over your hours. You told them you didn;t have the time, and that was the end of it. I can't see where you have any case for damages against them for asking you to run the load.

MAybe I am missing something, but there is something here that sounds slighlty askew. You could have gone out to the truck and picked up your stuff, including your dentures out of the truck. You still had the keys to the truck in your hand. Maybe they were offering you a ride off the property, but the idea of having two goons in a van waiting a chance to beat you sounds a little bit extreme.

I'm not doubting that there are some peoblems there, but the details of your story don't seem to add up to the conclusions you seem to have reached. My 02.

I have gone to your website and the first thing that caught my attention
was the fact that you say you had 2 of your animals put to sleep due to your lack of pay from Priortiy......how did that happen, you state you only have cats and dogs,,,,you can feed both animals for about 7.00 a month each and I know it costs at least 30.00 to take them to the vet and have them put to sleep..EACH...thats at least 60.00 bucks....there is no sense in that one. You did promise to provide documentation about your claims yet I found none, only your attempt at selling your electromagnetic engine ideas. I wonder also how you could work for a company for 6 weeks and be close to homeless....that mortgage situation must have been going on prior to your employment with Priority. I am not doubting that there are problems with this company as there are with all companies but I found nothing to support the claims you have made here. I know you dont have to prove anything to me however I would becareful making statements that seem to have no back up, should I be wrong in my perception of the situation I appologize and hope you can prove my errors.

Actually, I did go to the site and read through it, twice. But I didn't find it convincing, and Im certainly don't consider it "Testimony". I think that word means something a little bit different from how you are using it. And, I thought the putting animals to sleep and being almost bankrupt after 6 weeks sounded a little bit hard to believe. You claim to have easily marketable skills, so even with a six week interlude, what you claim shouldn't have happened. Sorry, but I tend to doubt some parts of your story. Hope you get your dentures back though....

If any of you who fault me for my expression of what happened with myself and Priority Transportation can handle it - go to work for these people without them being aware you know about this situation. I would bet within a few weeks you will get a good understanding of what I am upset about. I hate liars. And I say that because I can prove they lied. A liar cannot be trusted for any reason. If you dig into the activities of liars, you find a wealth of wrongs that are covered up by more lies.

I know what I have expierenced with these people. However, I also know there is very little one can do to get justice from people like this. I am going to pull my information for that reason, choosing to seek my justice at a time more convenient and less time consuming. Perhaps one day someone will be upset enough to become like the America when she is wronged = " If you can't bring someone to Justice - Bring Justice to them! ".

Only yesterday, I recieved a call to my home from a driver employed at Priority Transportation, Chesterton, Indiana terminal. The driver stated that he got my number from an office worker there. These people have proven to me that they are out of touch and out of control when it comes to dealing with people. My evidence is mounting and when the time is right, Priority Transportation will reap what they deserve. I have never witnessed a co so disorganized and lacking in respect for drivers and the laws of this country!
