Finally im off to specialized. Horray. Im from NJ, Shhh dont tell anyone LOL, Anyway ive been on waiting list awhile, and im looking foward to NC and the training. Good Luck to all. Im well aware that there will be alot to learn and ILL have to learn the Maverick way of doing things, but hey thats all good. They teach you the Safe and right way.
Ive read alot of assorted post's here, and many of them make me laugh my butt off. The negative people are usually people who, wont change and learn new ways and they'd rather sit in truck stop babbling on cb, about no money or playing with lot lizzards. Geeezzzzzz.....
My son-inlaw drv's for maverick based out of little rock. he went thru the training, he drv's his butt off. BUT here's the real deal he makes Money. He doesnt sit around TA or Hooks, or Pilots. He drives, wow what a consept. He just got a Co. award for top miles in the 1st quarter of this yr. He has told me alot, and im happy Maverick is giving me a chance.
PS Good Luck Everyone, be safe out there. :biggrin_25525:

OK papabear here goes, I've asked notarps and he wasn't for sure. I live in south central OK, the mangum term is probably 120 or so miles from me, I'm assuming that I'd be assigned to that term as well as being in possibly a SW division? I'm not sure...anyhow, having said that, will I be more likely to run in the SW states? That is, TX, NM, OK, AZ,NV etc? I'd run where ever, its just that It'd really sweeten the deal for me if I got to run that section of the US. Its by far my fav.... Thanks for any info, I should be hearing from your recruiter tomorrow I imagine. I'm ex miltary, have had a high security clearance, don't drink, smoke, or do drugs, I'm basically a boring Christian man who enjoys working so I think I'll get through the background and employment checks easy...lol:biggrin_2559:

Surely someone has had a bad experience with Maverick? They've got me on the pre-approval list (orientation) after I graduate at the end of the month.

If Maverick is really as good as everyone says, they won't be able to push me out the door!
