I got 97% myself. The highest score in my class and several before me. And mama failed me too, so poor choice of words on that one. lol

I would suggest that you research more schools in your area .bear in mind Roadmaster is a private school and it is gonna cost you more compared to a technical school with a better quality training .it is gonna be helpful if you put your city and state in your profile so others would be able help you with school names and also better paying jobs in your area in the future .
also see if you are eligible for any WIA program or any Pell grant or state funds to help you pay for schooling .
I am personally attending a technical school in Orlando ,Fl and i am only paying $2300 for an 8 weeks course (320 hours) 1000 miles driving ..a very good a accredited school. all i am saying might be other better options . best of luck .

    I just graduated Roadmaster Tampa,

Never been in a Tractor before and just scored a 94 on my road test. My GPA was a 98.

Their biggest issues is people not listening to them, as soon as they see someone is not willing to listen they move their time and effort to the next person. Leave your pride at the door.

I would go back. I did the weekend class for 8 wks

Like this threads ratio of serious comments and questions to B.S and non essential douche baggery, so does Roadmaster have a similar ratio. As a graduate of Roadmaster and someone that received numerous job offers I can say from experience that for every hour of excellent instruction I received 10 minutes was spent waiting for:

    1. Stupid questions
    2. Band camp stories
    3. An obese person to move, climb into or out of something, eat, and go to the restroom.
    4. Former felons asking vague questions about getting hired with a record even though "it was a long time ago and..."
    5. Wanna be teachers pets asking questions that they knew the answers to just to get attention.

Roadmaster is expensive but they cover the bases and offer recruiting drives, hell they even brought in a State Trooper to teach a class. Very good school and it is well respected by many many employers.

Check into the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) to see if you qualify. Roadmaster will handle alot of the paperwork on that.

I went to Roadmaster in Tampa, Florida. I don't have any complaints about them. I had a bit of a hard time because I was very aware of the power I was wielding. They focused a lot on double-clutching(which I'm not complaining about). By the end of week 2, my right arm and wrist were so sore, I couldn't even grip a pencil or shake someone's hand. That had to do with how tight I was always holding on to the steering wheel and to the stick(shift). I was very tense. Just couldn't relax enough. I had never shifted in any vehicle of any kind at all in my life. I was having problems with shifting and I was using all my might to get it into the gears I needed it to be in.

Then one day, there was a new guy and he was having even more problems than I ever did just on the course at the school(I was able to at least drive out onto the roads/ streets). Then, the teacher told him to stop. Just stop. lol She then told him to put it in first gear and let it go on its own torque. Keep your foot off the fuel pedal. So he did so. Then she told him to shift it to 2nd gear, but don't use the clutch. He did so. Then she told him to shift to 3rd gear, no clutch. He did so. And on and on it went. I'm looking at it like...... @@!!!!!!!!!

It was at that point that I realized the importance of the rpm's in shifting and it became easier for me. Still had to load up on ibuprofen 600 mgs to even be able to take the road test at the end of it all as my right arm and wrist were shot. I don't regularly attend various training schools throughout the country so I can't compare them to any other schools. All I can say is that they worked for me.

Just taught myself how to float in the past couple months too.
