perhaps Centramatics would be better than the beads so I'll have to ask why they choose the beads.

Those skirts get shaved and bent when you back into a downhill ramp dock too which I didn't want... as those who skirt know, as for the jumping curbs mentioned.. did that ski jump once....cost $1500 for a new left fuel tank side fairing and repairing the other side along with all the bent mount brackets, lucky the left tank slightly scratched. No more jumping off high curbs for me...

Having tried both centramatics are worthless. Balance beads work great.

Centramatics only fight radial balance, but not horizontal. The beads can fight if the tire is miss balanced left to right. Basically the beads are more effective and cheaper. Centramatics was the cool balancing tech before the beads came out.

What would really be nice on that trailer is a lift axle. I'd have to go with duals instead of super singles as well. I ran 660 miles last night with a 1,000 lb load in the box. I could save a lot of fuel in my operation with a lift axle on the tandems for the lightweight loads I haul. It is a nice trailer. The price makes me dread what I'm facing when I spec mine but I want it built like I want it.

Rumor says lift is in the plans for the next signature trailer. Why would you spec everything for MPG and then go with duels? You will save more fuel with the single then the lift, and even more with both. You could always add a dump valve and a redneck lift. (dump air then manually winch it up) or even replace the setup with a true lift axle. The problem with lift for vans is the limited clearance. I dought you would ever find one stock like that unless you go with smaller tires.

Have been running Centramatics for years. Have them all around truck and trailer. Wouldn't have a truck without them.

Have you ever tried "True Balance" beads? I mean, you can be happy with a product, but to say you would never have a truck without when you haven't tried the other product is a bit closed minded. My truck came with centramatics and I switched to true balance. The beads seem to do a much better job on the super singles. The wide tire has more sideways balance ishues that Centra doesn't help. Also, centra really balances each axle end. With duels you can still and up with a thumpy tire. The centra weights are to the side of it and not directly opposite the heavy spot. If each tire has considerably different weight distribution, the centra will end up making the tires thump more then 2 different balance systems for the 2 different tires.

I have good tire wear and no vibration. I have no issue to fix. What is the point of changing when what I use works fine with no issues. If I changed and it worked fine with the other product I would have gained nothing.
My Western Star rides like a big car and drives great.

What's that saying "If it aint broke don't fix it". That's not closed minded just common sense.

I'm not saying the beads don't work. I figure they do. They work off the same principal as the Centramatics or the Equal that you put in the tires.

When I have a flat I don't have to put anything back in the tire after it is repaired. I prefer that.

In my experience the Centramatics have been trouble free and after using them for several years and switching them from one truck to another I don't recall having to replace any yet.
