When I recently got out of driving I had a 2000W inverter left over along with a small refrigerator and freezer from my truck, so I thought why not put in in my construction trailer. My original thought was that 2 deep cell marine batteries would last 4-5 days on a charge.

But to my surprise it will only run for 25 hours is this normal?
    Should I add batteries?
    Maybe change batteries?

    Any help would be appreciated...

More batteries would certainly do the trick.

Inverters are horribly inefficient. Simply turned on, they are using power from the battery. While running, your refrigerator may need 100W, but the inverter can be using 150W (or more) from the battery.
